A personal piece about my relationship to my family in Chile. The garment juxtaposes my idea of the country, centered around my great aunt's back yard, to what others associate with Chile, geographical beauty such as the Patagonia in the south and the Atacama Desert in the north. The piece works to process my connection to the country and my disappointment due to my household not using Spanish when I was young.
